The Mysterious Civilization of the Phrygians

Emerging in central Anatolia after the Hittites and rising quickly to power, the Phrygians carried traces of earlier civilizations in both their art and their beliefs, and in turn inspired those who came after. Assembled from finds held by the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations in Ankara and other collections, the exhibition presents this civilization — remembered for the Gordian knot — through a wide selection of works.
