Hoş Geldin Gazi: Atatürk’ün İstanbul Günleri (1927–1938)

The exhibition tells the story of Atatürk’s days in Istanbul — from 1 July 1927 to his death on 10 November 1938 — through photographs. Drawn from the Selahattin Giz Collection in the Yapı Kredi Historical Archive, the images were taken by leading press photographers of the period (Namık Görgüç, Selahattin Giz, Cemal Göral, Faik Şenol, Hilmi Şahenk) for newspapers such as Cumhuriyet, Son Posta, Akşam and Tan. They are presented chronologically, accompanied by period newspaper accounts.
